A Pittsfield Chiropractor Offers 5 Easy Tips To Reduce Headaches

Pittsfield Chiropractor say's, millions of people suffer from debilitating headaches each day, some
from migraine, others cluster, but most due to tension from stress.

Ever have a headache so bad you thought your head would explode? You feel sick, have
nausea and dizziness, intense neck and head pain, and even feel disoriented. You are not
alone. Millions of people suffer from debilitating headaches each day, some from migraine,
others cluster, but most due to tension from stress. If you have no significant health issues,
then there are 5 simple strategies you can use to reduce the pain associated with
headaches and make your life more enjoyable.
My first suggestion for reducing headaches will even save you money. That's a bonus! I
always recommenced to my chiropractic patients to reduce their caffeine intake. Coffee is
usually the main culprit, but many times sodas, teas, energy drinks, and even "indulgence"
foods like chocolate can be a huge contributor to your headaches. By reducing the intake of
caffeine products, and replacing them with loads of clean water, you can take a major step
forward in reducing the intensity, duration, and frequency of your headaches.
Another suggestion that can save you money and prevent other health issues is to stop
smoking. While the main culprit of cigarette smoking is nicotine, there are many other
sources of nicotine to consider. Chewing tobacco, cigars, and even second-hand smoke (at
someone house or in bars and clubs) can be a significant contributor to your headaches.
Reducing exposure to nicotine is a critical decision to make as it will affect all area's of your
health.
Third tip is easy and something our parents preached to us as young kids. Remember when
your parents wished you a good night's sleep? They were teaching you something valuable!
A good night's sleep, full of uninterrupted deep rest, goes a long way in reducing the
duration and intensity of your headaches. It also helps with your immune system and overall
health. Meditation helps reduce the overall stress in your life, so that you can get deep,
quality sleep.
Next is maintain a good diet. Eating healthy will allow your body (and internal systems) to
work properly. A diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables, and low in red meat will help
reduce inflammation and decrease headaches. Refine your eating habits as much as
possible so that you improve your overall health and, at the same time, reduce your
headache pain. Remember that a part of eating healthy is to drink sufficient amounts of
water. Talk with your chiropractor or nutritionist, or look at the US RDA recommendations
for your height and body weight.
Finally, chiropractic adjustments can help relieve headache pain quickly. Many of our
patients with intense headaches have had an issue with a spinal cord disc, an impinged
nerve, other spinal interference, which when corrected immediately relieved the headache.
Find a qualified, licensed chiropractor, who has expertise in relieving headaches. You
should understand exactly what the chiropractor can do to help your body start working
properly again.
By utilizing these five simple steps, you will be well on your way to eliminating many of the
causes of your headache pain.

Pittsfield Chiropractic Doctor Offers Natural Relief For Low Back Pain Sufferers

Chiropractic Works Pittsfield is thrilled to announce there is now relief for low back pain sufferers
utilizing a low force chiropractic technique.

Chiropractic Works Pittsfield has just introduced its new low force chiropractic technique that
is designed to get rid of low back pain for life. This Pittsfield chiropractor has gained a solid
reputation for educating and satisfying the patients in the Berkshire community.
Dr, Garber suggests, that recent studies demonstrate that a good number of American
people suffer from chronic low back pain. The back houses sensitive nerves that can easily
be twisted, pinched and damaged. Most people don't tend to take back pain seriously,
thinking that perhaps "it will just go away"
Actually, there are various possible reasons behind low back pain and the reasons it won't
just go away. These include poor posture and spinal misalignment's which are mostly due
to abrupt forces applied to the spine. Also, prior injuries that have not been completely
corrected can also be the reason behind the low back pain one experiences.
Most people don't understand, or sometimes fail to acknowledge, that improper ways of
sitting down while using computers or even during the simple task of bending to lift
something can cause stress to the low back. Furthermore, they disregard back pain and at
times, simply take painkillers to relief themselves of the pain.
This option works. However, there is a limit on its effects. The back pain goes away but only
for a short period of time. Later on, it comes back and the pain can be more frequent with
greater intensities and durations.
Chiropractors offer a different option. The chiropractic philosophy focuses on removing the
nerve interference within the nervous system and giving the body a chance to self heal and
regulate itself. Chiropractic care focuses on restoring function, allows for optimum health,
and provides well-being as it's main goal. For further information on back pain or our low
force chiropractic techniques visit our website at http://www.chiropracticworksma.com or

Chiropractor In Pittsfield Helps To Effectively Treat Headaches - Free-Press-Release.com

Today, headaches are considered to be one of the most prevalent symptoms in the world. It is estimated that 9 out of 10 people in the USA experience headaches. The severity, frequency, and intensity of a headache episode are not similar. Some experience mild aches, while others feel intense stabbing pain, but most describe it as an intense throbbing pain. While some have an occasional headache perhaps a few times a month, there are many that have a headache on continual daily basis. Taking medications when you have headaches may be an effective short term fix; it is not a long term solution. Some people develop immunity to the medications after taking them a long time. There is a less expensive and more effective alternative for headache relief, and that is the treatment offered by a Pittsfield chiropractor.

Chiropractic care utilizes spinal adjustments to effectively and safely rid tension headaches and pain coming from the neck area. Research on headaches was conducted in 2001 by the prestigious Duke University Evidence-Based Practice Center in Durham NC. The research report showed that spinal adjustments by a chiropractor enabled participants to experience immediate relief from headaches and had a major impact of the headaches that originated from tension in the neck. The treatment was found to have fewer side effects and resulted in greater efficacy then medications.

The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics conducted a study in 1995 to determine the effects of chiropractic care on tension headaches. The study found that the relief from chiropractic care resulted in longer duration than medications used for headache relief. Participants reported having no headaches or side effects four weeks after ceasing chiropractic treatment.

Neck tension accounts for about 95% of all headaches. Neck stress is due to staying in one position for a long period of time, like using a phone, or blow drying your hair. This prolonged and repetitive usage can lead to irritation in joints, tension in neck, upper back and scalp pain leading to headaches.

When required to be in a position for a prolonged period of time like sitting, computer usage, sewing, or reading you should stop every 30 minutes and do some stretching exercises on your head and neck.

Your Pittsfield Chiropractor, Dr. Scott Garber, of Chiropractic Works Pittsfield is an expert at administering chiropractic therapies to restore your spine to its normal functioning. This will quickly relieve the neck from stress and reduce the neck pain you have. Chiropractors are trained to recommend exercise, diet, relaxation techniques, and proper posture and ergonomics to help eliminate headaches.

Chiropractic Works

In 1992, after many years of abusing my body, my body finally gave up and my health started to spiral downward. By the time I met my Chiropractor Michael I was physically, emotionally, and spiritually bankrupt. I had all but given up on life and was in terrific pain. A friend prompted me to seek Chiropractic help, but I was stubborn because I thought people only went to Chiropractors for accidents. I was finally at wits end, unable to walk, work, or engage in any social activities. I found my way to my Chiropractors office and it was the start to finding my life, and my future career. After many months of intensive care I started to notice more then just my pain subsiding. I started to see people, colors, shapes, and life in a different way. My depression had lifted, I liked people and was no longer afraid of them, my breathing had changed, my digestion was better, my blood pressure, and cholesterol levels came back to normal, my sleeping improved, and I was no longer fatiqued. I never in a million years would have thought that all of this would change under Chiropractic care, but it did. Chiropractic care gave me hope, potential, and my life back. I was so changed and inspired that I decided to become a Chiropractor. Against all odds, due to my Dyslexia, I graduated from Parker Chiropractic College in 2001 Magna Cum Laude. That is am amazing feat considering I dropped out of junior high do to my learning disability. So, if you have ever questioned "does Chiropractic work" you now have my true story.
